MUSCAT: Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, received in his office on Wednesday Scott Gilmore, Adviser to the Canadian Prime Minister for Foreign, Defence, and Security Policy.


During the meeting, Al Numani reviewed the bilateral relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and Canada and means of enhancing these relations. The two sides also discussed several developments in the regional and international arenas.


On his part, the Canadian guest expressed his deep appreciation for the diplomatic efforts exerted by the Sultanate of Oman in bridging views on various regional files and issues, thereby enhancing security and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister received in Muscat on Wednesday Scott Gilmore, Adviser to the Canadian Prime Minister for Foreign, Defence, and Security Policy.


During the meeting, both sides affirmed their shared interest in developing relations of cooperation and partnerships between Oman and Canada across various economic and commercial fields, as well as in education, academic exchange, and diplomatic collaboration.


The two parties discussed a number of regional and international issues and developments, emphasising the importance of intensifying consultation and joint action, as well as developing international and multilateral mechanisms to address new global challenges. — ONA
